Job Description Summary

Under the general direction of the Associate Director of Annual and Leadership Giving, the Assistant Director of Leadership Annual Giving will play a key role in meeting goals and objectives of a growing Annual Giving program focused on increasing leadership level annual fund gifts and growing the major gift pipeline. A highly energetic professional with the ability to engage donors, work with volunteers and solicit gifts, the incumbent is responsible for the strategy, development, implementation, and management of the leadership annual giving pipeline. With a focus on securing gifts in the $1,000 – $4,999 range, the Assistant Director of Leadership Annual Giving will engage, cultivate, solicit and steward leadership annual giving donors. This person will work closely and collaboratively with the entire Development team to assure fundraising opportunities are maximized.

Essential Functions

Responsible for a minimum of 200 personal visits/solicitations, preferably face-to-face, annually

Identifies, cultivates and manages a portfolio of approximately 350 donors and potential donors with leadership level annual giving capacity. Devises strategies for solicitation and closure of gifts

Work effectively with advancement staff in devising, analyzing, modifying, implementing and evaluating annual fund programs

Implement strategy to grow the Council Oak Society for leadership Annual Giving

Required Education, Experience, Technology Applications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree with at least1-3 years related experience

Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills

Good organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Valid Drivers License
