Associate and Assistant Athletic Trainer

2 Positions Available

The Becker College Athletic Department is currently seeking applicants for the position of a full-time Associate and Assistant Athletic Trainer.  The candidate will report to the Director of Sports Medicine and assist the sports medicine staff in working with 17 different NCAA DIII varsity teams, in addition to, the full operation of the sports medicine facility.  This is a full-time, 10-month position, with benefits, with an anticipated start date of August 1st, 2018.

Associate Athletic Trainer additional responsibilities include overseeing work study student workers and assigning hours and tasks, overseeing Becker College exercise science interns; interviewing, educating, and scheduling assignments to students on musculoskeletal injuries, anatomy, and educating about the athletic training profession.  2-3 years of work related experience preferred.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in athletic training from a CAATE approved program and with current NATABOC certification; a license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Massachusetts and current CPR/AED certifications;  the ability to work autonomously, self- motivated, and the ability to work well with other athletic trainers, and athletes from various backgrounds. Previous experience using an electronic medical records system and experience working with high contact/ high-risk sports (football, ice hockey, Lacrosse) desired. Team assignments are subject to change based on experience and professional goals.
