Princeton University seeks a highly motivated, well-qualified individual to serve as a Part-Time Animal Caretaker in the Princeton Nueroscience Institute . The individual will perform routine and repetitive duties related to the care of laboratory animals including maintaining records and data and assisting with the needs of staff, students and faculty.
The qualified candidate must be well organized, reliable, punctual, possess good attention to detail and good communication skills. Must be able to work individually or in a team environment with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a laboratory environment with normal protective equipment.
Perform routine and repetitive duties related to the care of laboratory animals including maintaining records and data and assisting with the needs of staff, students and faculty
- High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- An A.S. in Zoology, Biology, Animal Husbandry or equivalent, as well as an AALAS Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) certification is a plus.
- The final candidate will be required to successfully pass a background check and a pre-employment physical.
