Job Duties: The primary purpose of the position is responsibility for the sale of permits, the registration of motor vehicles belonging to staff, faculty, students, and visitors and the collection of parking fine fees. Collection of fines and fees is recorded and maintained in the parking management software utilized by Parking and Transportation Services. The position maintains a daily inventory of all parking permits sold and fees collected. The information is compiled and entered according to University revenue deposit procedures. Adjustments in the work schedule may occur during times of peak business such as the beginning of each semester, move-in, and during early class registration. The position must adjust to changes and be prepared to implement and inform other individuals affected by changes. The position is continually exposed to pressure and/or stressful conditions. Mondays, or work days following a holiday, are traditionally very busy. This person receives payments and provides information to customers regarding parking and traffic services. Quality customer service and the ability to communicate well with diverse customers are primary responsibilities for this position.
