Clinical Nursing Instructor
The Becker College School of Nursing is seeking applicants for the position of Clinical Nursing Instructor. This position teaches students during the clinical/laboratory portion of courses in the NU curriculum. The Instructor is responsible for assisting the students to achieve clinical and course objectives, provides clinical supervision, continuous assessment and administers clinical examinations. The educational activities of the Clinical Instructor are course-specific at various settings, including clinical placement in primary and secondary health care settings as well as simulations experience in the on-campus clinical laboratory. Direct oversight of the instructor is provided by the Nursing Clinical Liaison.
A minimum of an BSN is required for teaching in the ADN program and a Master’s degree is required for teaching in the pre-licensure program. A current professional NU license; a minimum of three years’ experience within the last 5 years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse; CPR certification; demonstrated commitment to professional development and student mentorship; and, the ability to make meaningful and positive connections with a diverse student body desired.
