The Regional Medical Library for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine South Central Region (NNLM SCR) operates under a cooperative agreement (UG4) with the National Library of Medicine to provide outreach and educational services throughout the states of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico. The mission of the NNLM is to advance the progress of medicine and improve public health through increased access to health information and training.
To accomplish this mission, staff members develop and promote a wide assortment of free classes. Numerous outreach agreements are awarded to network member libraries and community based organizations to provide training to health professionals and consumers. Funding is provided to network members for computer equipment, Internet access, and training.
The Library Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Budget Coordinator to join our team.
The Budget Coordinator for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine South Central Region (NNLM SCR) provides support for the NNLM SCR UG4 grant program by maintaining and analyzing program financial records, preparing financial reports, overseeing program subaward budgets and providing administrative support for departmental operations.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
* Preparation of NIH budgets and departmental budgets.
* Perform complex analysis of federal subaward budgets and vendor agreements.
* Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices, track expenditures and process travel reimbursement.
* Serve as the liaison to the Office of Sponsored Programs to ensure proper federal oversight of UG4 and Supplemental award.
* Process purchasing requests, invoices and payment requests related to project activities.
* Work with relevant university offices to develop RFA and CFA contracts for vendor agreements and subawards.
* Process travel authorizations and reimbursements.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or similar field.
