Position Summary
The College of Business at Metropolitan State University of Denver invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty member. The position will require the candidate to teach four Introduction to Business courses per semester. They will also be required to engage in scholarly activities and participate in academic and career advising for students. This position is for one-year, with a possibility for reappointment, subject to the needs of the department and funding availability.
The University is particularly interested in applicants who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for under-represented groups.

The position focuses on teaching the Introduction to Business course.

Required Qualifications
Faculty members will have the responsibilities of maintaining their professional or scholarly credentials. The minimum credentials for professional experience includes the following;
• completion of at least a Master's degree in the field in which a faculty member is assigned to teach
• professional experience that is current at the time of hire and that has been substantial in terms of duration and level of responsibility and clearly links to the field in which the faculty member is expected to teach. Normally to be considered substantial in duration and of a significant level of responsibility, the professional work experience shall have occurred over a period no less than ten consecutive years and has resulted in accomplishing increased levels of responsibility such that at a minimum the experience has included supervisory experiences.
• if the Master's degree is outside the field in which the faculty member is assigned to teach, there is an increased expectation for substantial professional work experience in the discipline.

Terminal Degree in a Business discipline or a closely related field.
