Appointment Type:

Vacancy ID: P008540

Position Summary: The MBA Student Engagement Manager creates, executes, and manages a seamless student experience for all MBA students enrolled throughout the year. Specifically, the position independently handles the planning and management of student events, triages student issues, and assists with events managed by others. Events range from large scale (1,000+ attendees) to small events through student groups. Events must be of high quality, be highly organized, and all details must be considered and proactively handled and addressed to ensure that the experience is of the highest quality for students, while remaining within budget. The position develops and communicates information, collecting pertinent information from faculty, staff and students that is relevant and of interest to the MBA population with the objective of keeping them up-to-date on what is happening at the School. The position will also triage student questions and issues- handling whenever possible, and referring to other staff when needed. This is a front-facing, highly visible role that will work within a matrix structure, directly interfacing with students, faculty, and staff at all levels. This role works across the 5 MBA formats. Rather than knowing one format well, the role will be required to understand the 5 offerings and be able to move between programs as needs arise. This requires the ability to manage the different audiences and needs and the ability to be flexible and manage multiple priorities. Under the direction of the Assistant Director, the role will have independent responsibility for specific events and duties but will also assist with events planned by others. This is a complex structure with multiple competing priorities, a matrix reporting structure, and will involve working with a number of stakeholders across the MBA organization, including five directors, multiple student groups, faculty presenters, financial staff handling reimbursements, registrars handling enrollments, etc. Position will work some evenings and weekends on a regular basis. Domestic and some international travel is required.
