Position Summary: The Program Director (PD) will report to the GEDC Co-Principal Investigators (Co-PIs) in supporting the GEDC CC in developing, organizing, coordinating, implementing, and executing projects and activities that our focus on the GEDC mission of transforming, catalyzing, and evaluating best practices in interdisciplinary geriatric emergency care. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic, cross-functional, multi-organizational environment that supports transformation of geriatric emergency care and organizes external partnerships. This position is based in Chapel Hill, NC at the University of North Carolina. The PD will also attend regular team meetings at GEDC sites and other locations as needed. This is a full-time role for the duration of the grant (3 years) with the potential to continue past the duration of the grant pending additional support and development of a sustainability strategy.

Education Requirements: A Bachelor Degree is required and three years related experience in project management and/or program administration.

Qualification and Experience: Graduate degree (i.e., MBA, MPA, MPH, or related field) is preferred Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills Communicates ideas and information clearly, simply, and appropriately for the situation and audience Interest in new technologies or ability to assess new technologies a plus Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take a stance Team player and able to adapt quickly to new areas of focus Strong ability to interact and collaborate with all levels of management and cross-functional teams Must have excellent people and organizational skills.
