Advanced Practice Provider II/UKHC

Job description



The Advanced Practice Provider II is a member of the Palliative Care team in the Division of Palliative and Supportive Care of the Department of Medicine and has as his/her primary responsibility the management of patients.

The APP II works under the direct supervision of faculty of the Palliative Care program. The APP II has specialized skill and knowledge related to the unique clinical setting in which he/she practices.

The participation of the APP II improves the capacity of the clinical practice, provides enhanced monitoring of clinically complex patients and contributes to excellence in patient care and patient satisfaction.

Required Related Experience

Required License/ Registration/Certification

For Nurse Practitioner applicants, active Kentucky Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.

For Nurse Practitioner applicants, acute care certification is preferred.

For Physician Assistant applicants, current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification and active Kentucky Physician Assistant (PA) license.

Employment is contingent upon the University's verification of credentials as required by state law and University policies.
