The Department of Teacher Education and Higher Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking a collaborative colleague in the field of higher education/student affairs administration to fill a tenure stream position at the Assistant Professor level. This is a nine-month/year position.

Responsibilities: Provide instruction in the master's level program in student affairs administration in higher education and with potential to teach in the doctoral program in higher education. In addition, responsibilities will include advising master's and doctoral students, participating in doctoral dissertation committees, actively pursuing research or scholarly endeavors, being active in professional organizations related to higher education, and serving on department, School of Education, and university committees.



Minimum Qualifications

Earned doctorate in higher education, student personnel administration, or closely related field (by start date) is required. Initial record of scholarly publications and engagement in professional service is required. College teaching (particularly at the graduate level) and willingness to serve on doctoral committees is desirable. Administrative experience in student affairs or a closely related area and expertise in quantitative research methodology is required.



Preferred Qualifications

Earned doctorate in higher education, student personnel administration, or closely related field is required. Record of scholarly publications and evidence of professional service and engagement is required. College teaching (particularly at the graduate level) is desirable. Administrative experience in student affairs or a closely related area is required. Successful experience advising doctoral students at the dissertation stage and expertise in quantitative research methodology is highly desirable. Interest in leadership theories, organizational theories in higher education, or gender issues (as areas for teaching) is desirable.
