The Visiting Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position is for a period of one academic year (e.g. nine months) beginning September 1, 2018 through May 31, 2019. The position will have the same role as a tenure-track professor, but the tenure track time clock will not start during this period. This gives an advantage to the new PhD graduate or the ABD PhD candidate who would like to get experience teaching without having the pressure of meeting scholarship deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to apply and compete for any permanent tenure-track positions if they come open.
