Provides patient-focused primary health care services at Redfern.Ensures compliance with The Joint Commission accreditation standards while providing services that are responsive to the needs of University students.Participates in performance improvement teams, committees, and other assigned tasks to support objectives of SHS.Other duties as assigned.
85% - Essential - PRIMARY CARE MANAGEMENT:
Provides outpatient primary care for students, visitors and employees of Clemson University, including preventive care, referral to resources within and outside of Redfern Health Center and patient education.
10% - Essential - COMPLIANCE:
Maintains medical records in accordance with The Joint Commission accreditation standards, Redfern Health Center policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
5% - Essential - PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT:
Participates on Redfern Health Center performance improvement teams and committees as well as other University Committees.
10% - Essential - Operations:
Facilitates operations, services and programs of the Redfern Health Center.
Doctoral / Professional Degree and 5 "+" years of work experience
Licenses & Certificaions: Board Certified primary care physician licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
Comprehensive Job Knowledge - Comprehensive knowledge of theories and practices and ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations
Supervises Work of Others - Supervises work of others and may offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments but does not have responsibility for making these decisions.
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
Certfications - Board Certified Primary Care Physician licensed to practice in South Carolina
Standard Hrs: 37.5; ($145,000 - $153,000)
Salary commensurate with education and expereince.
