The Tamm Lab in the Center for Membrane and Cell Physiology is seeking to fill the position of a postdoctoral research associate. The incumbent joins an interactive group of highly motivated scientists to conduct biophysical and cell biological research on membrane fusion in exocytosis and virus entry.
Candidate must have an MD and/or PhD in biophysics or other related scientific field by the start date, and must have demonstrated expertise in protein expression, purification, and reconstitution in lipid model membranes. Competitive candidates will also have experience with advanced fluorescence microscopy and cell fractionation techniques. Candidates must have effective oral and written communication skills. Although not required at the time of hiring, successful candidates are strongly encouraged to apply for fellowship funding.
