Lecturer

The Department of Communication is accepting applications for lecturers to teach various types of strategic communication courses at both the lower- and upper-division level (and online and in-person) including courses in introductory and advanced strategic communication, new media production and management, social media for social change, advertising, crisis communication, message design, and others. Qualified applicants will have demonstrated experience with strategic communication practice and instruction, including (but not limited to) the following areas and technologies:

Marketing Automation - e.g., Marketo, Eloqua, and Braze

Marketing Analytics - e.g., Hubspot, Google Analytics, Facebook Audience Insights

Public Relations and Communications - e.g., Cision, Constant Contact

CRM and Email Campaigns - e.g., Salesforce and Sendgrid

Social Media - e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Hootsuite

Related Topics - e.g., SEO/SEM (e.g., Google AdWords), Digital Content Management Systems (e.g., SharePoint, WordPress, HTML) and surveys (e.g., Qualtrics and SurveyMonkey)

The person selected for this position will teach up to two courses a semester.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must have an MA in Communication or a related field.

More than mere how-to tutorials, academic courses must integrate communication theories and digital tools to address actual organizational and social exigencies.
