Job Summary:

This position functions under the supervision of the UW Carbone Cancer Centers (UWCCC)
Assistant Director of Finance and Strategic Planning. The UWCCC has an annual budget of $20 million with over 140 employees and over 250 faculty members. Position will act as Site Manager for and oversee UWCCC purchasing card activities; independently provide day-to-day financial administration support; provide accounting and financial services including billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable for the UWCCC's Revenue Producing Accounts. This position is also responsible for the coordination of Grand Rounds.

This position requires the application and routine Interpretation of rules internally imposed by the UWCCC and externally mandated by the UW, the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) and other agencies. Position ensures that accurate, timely and appropriate fiscal and decision making information is provided to Cancer Center management and members.

Exercise of initiation, judgement, and independent decision making is required in order to achieve UWCCC goals. The position requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, and learning skills as well as the ability to work with some independence within the varied academic and health care/research environment and a large, complex, constantly changing/evolving set of rules and requirements.

Standard business hours are 7:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Schedule can be flexible and will be determined at hire.

The starting pay rate will be dependent on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
