Lecturer provides a quality learning experience for students. Lecturer faculty perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college. The relationship of the Lecturer faculty member to the student is one of teacher and facilitator of learning.
Department Specific Essential Job Functions
The Department of English invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer to teach English Composition and Developmental English in an Accelerated Learning Program. Some service to the department is also expected. An earned degree Master's degree awarded by a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution in the field specified in the position announcement (exceptions require Academic Affairs approval). Possesses excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Master of Arts in English required. M.A. in Composition & Rhetoric is preferred. Three years prior college-level teaching experience preferred. Special attention will be given to applicants who have at least two years of experience teaching first-year compostion and developmental English in a collegiate setting.
