Summary:
Here is your opportunity to put your creative and technical skills to work in higher education helping students succeed. UVU is hiring a videographer to be responsible for the creation and editing of video content for courses enhanced with technology.

Oversees all aspects of film and video pre-production, production, and post-production for special events, marketing/promotional materials, and educational and special program videos, including other projects as needed.

Responsible for audio production with the sound booth and occasionally takes
photos of faculty and staff as well as event photography.

Assists in planning and implementation of graphic design projects for video, web, and print.

Performs custom and specialized videography and photography in-house or on-location using a variety of equipment and techniques.

May need to drive to photo/video shoot locations. Flexible schedule determined by project needs.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in film, communications, or a related discipline and two years of experience directly related to video/film, broadcast field or a related area or an associate’s degree and four years of experience directly related to video/film, broadcast field or a related area.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of videography, audio principles, practice and techniques.
  • Knowledge of design software and the Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to, Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Bridge and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of typography, color theory and layout.
  • Knowledge of video compression.
  • Knowledge of 360 video.
  • Knowledge of DSLR, cinema, or PMW cameras.
  • Skills in creativity, imagination and originality in visual composition.
  • Skills in interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Skills in dedication to detail, organization and an eye for good design.
  • Ability to create and follow a production schedule, effectively manage workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work and contribute as a team member in a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge and experience adhering to branding and style guide.


Preferred Qualifications:


Physical Requirements:
  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
  • Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
  • Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme
    temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Pay Range: $36,319-$48,425 annually
