Posting Summary:
The University of Virginia department of Information Technology Services (ITS) seeks an individual with a strong Microsoft SCCM background to fill the role of a Senior Computer Systems Engineer. This position will have primary responsibility for the design, operation and maintenance of our enterprise SCCM environment and related systems. As a senior engineer the incumbent will coordinate and complete small to medium sized projects with minimal supervision. The incumbent strong troubleshooting skills, a broad base of IT knowledge and the ability to work as part of a team or individually are required.
Four to seven year's equivalent relevant education, experience or training is required. The preferred candidate should have experience working with distributed operating systems and software deployment in an enterprise environment. Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Microsoft App-V, VMware Horizon View Management Console, and VMware ThinApp is helpful. In addition, the candidate must have demonstrated troubleshooting ability in hardware, operating systems, and software. The candidate must also have demonstrated written, oral, and customer service skills.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
CM in a high availability environment
Scripting using PowerShell
Group Policy
Possess good verbal and written communication skills to convey technical guidance and information to users and provide excellent customer service
Ability to create and support Windows 10 desktops in a distributed environment.
