Under the general supervision of the Facilities Operations Superintendent, function as a Mailroom Associate Coordinator for the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) within the Facilities Department.
The duties performed for this position are generally repetitive in nature and may require independent judgment. Positions may independently perform a variety of tasks and activities, or may assist higher level positions in performing work. This position will oversee students and Ship and Mail Associates, to include hiring and training for the Facilities Department of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.
The incumbent is expected to demonstrate leadership in the mailroom so that the Building Operations Superintendent can focus attention elsewhere when needed. When students or Ship & Mail Associates are not present for their shift, the incumbent will assume their responsibilities.

This position is limited to 23 hours/week (with potential to increase from 57% FTE to 70% FTE). Hours vary between 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM and are flexible.
This is not a benefits eligible position.
This position will earn leave time.
This position is initially expected to last two years, with the possibility of extending the position to ongoing based upon funding and operational need.
