Job description

Duties: This position coordinates research activities in collaboration with Principal Investigator, Project Managers and research team for several NIH funded studies of critically ill children across the US. The primary role of this position is to prepare and organize regulatory submissions, execute reliance agreements, and provide compliance oversight and safety reporting. The candidate will troubleshoot and problem solve to ensure full regulatory compliance across all studies. Maintains contact with study sites and investigator teams across studies. Coordinates and performs data collection, data entry and collaborates with data team as required. Provides administrative support for Principal Investigator, Project Managers and research team. Maintains administrative office systems to sustain the research office activities. Facilitates the grant process by assisting with abstract and manuscript preparation.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of recent experience working in a research team, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required; Master's degree preferred. Prior research project management experience required. Knowledge regarding current regulatory guidelines and advanced experience with IRB submissions, reliance agreements, and reporting required. Current CITI Training for Human Subjects certification preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills essential. Strong organizational skills with the ability to attend to detail. The successful candidate will possess sound judgment, initiative, the ability to work independently, and the ability to effectively participate in multi-site protocols. Proficiency with PCs, Microsoft Office and data entry required.
