Provide physical security to campus buildings and facilities. Provide high quality, effective public safety services. Provide services that support university functions relative to life and property safety, and facility security access, developing rapport with customers to foster mutual trust, understanding and respect of individual rights and responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
High school diploma and one to two years related experience required. Valid driver's license, or ability to obtain, and driver's check required. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally required. Knowledge of and ability to use basic hand tools, basic writing skills, and effective interpersonal skills and service orientation with educational focus required. Demonstrated ongoing commitment to workplace diversity, sustainability, and delivering exceptional value and great experience to customers required.
Overtime required, Weekend work required, Non-standard work hours required, Bargaining Unit Position - Teamsters, A probationary period may be required, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, 3rd Shift (Shift differential applies.), 40 hour work week
Hiring Min (Represents full-time (12 months, 1.0 FTE) equivalent salary. Must be prorated for jobs less than 12 months or 1.0FTE (Salary/12 x # of months x FTE))
