The Coordinator constructs, distributes, collects, maintains, and secures data related to the student/alumni Post-Graduation Plans reports for the Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC). The Coordinator is responsible for the preparation of the annual Post-Graduation Plans report for distribution to campus stakeholders. This position also provides administrative and general office support to the Director of the CPDC; assists with the Student Employment Program (SEP); and serves as the point person for all inquiries pertaining to the functions of the Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC).

Post-Graduation Plans (PGP) Survey and Report Coordination: Direct all student/alumni Post-Graduation Plans (PGP) distribution and collection activities. Maintain and secure all PGP data in multiple Excel databases. Calculate and analyze first destination report data checking for accuracy and compliance with the National Association of Colleges and Employer standards. Compile and organize data to generate the PGP report for campus and external stakeholders. Adhere to the PGP timeline to produce accurate reports annually. Respond to request for PGP data and create tailored reports for various campus offices and departments.

  • Career and Professional Development Center Coordination: Inputs employer data and employment job descriptions into the ColonialTRAK on-line database. Collects student applications for the Student Employment Program. Posts employer job descriptions to ColonialTrak. Assists with the coordination of the job fairs and events (logistics, marketing, employer development). Collects completed payroll forms for the Student Employment Program and collaborates with Human Resources department to ensure compliance with employment law. Assists in writing the annual report and maintains monthly statistics on the counseling appointments, events, and services.
  • Administrative and Miscellaneous Duties: Answers general inquiries, screens and directs calls; coordinates meetings and requests for appointments with counseling staff; creates and maintains an orderly filing system to meet needs of the Center. Serves as the primary administrative support of the Director. Assists in composing and/or editing routine correspondence, general reports, and annual report documents. Prepares purchase orders, check requests, and other University forms; maintains and orders office supplies; sorts and distributes incoming mail.
  • On occasion may need to drive on behalf of the University. Some weekend and evening hours may be required. All other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum Qualifications
    Associates Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative office experience required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Proficiency in using other Microsoft Office packages, including Word and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to gather data, analyze results, and present findings.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling and typing skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and adjust to changes in deadlines and schedules.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with employers, students, faculty, and administrative staff.
  • Willingness to further develop computer skills, adjust to other updated technology and grow professionally as required.
  • Valid driver's license.
