Position Summary: This position's primary focus is to serve as a resource to further the department's success in soliciting group business. Main duties include communicating with clients and prospects via phone, e-mail and in-person; researching availability of facilities; data entry, and researching potential customers and/or events
Responsibilities: Communicate with prospects and clients (phone, e-mail and in person) in a timely fashion to ascertain their needs and route inquiries as appropriate. Communications are predominantly reactive, though some proactive calls may be required. Occasionally provide phone coverage during the primary answerers' absences. May be called upon to represent the Georgia Center during sales blitzes and local shows as we prospect for opportunities to increase our group business. Occasionally assist sales team members in preparing for Sales trips/trade show set-ups/tear-down.
Qualifications: Four year college degree preferred; Associate degree required. Previous experience in sales preferred.
