Director of Recruitment and Admissions
This position oversees student recruitment and admissions for the school, which is in the process of creating its first enrollment management process and structure. The director will develop and implement a strategic approach and comprehensive plan to recruit undergraduate and graduate students for degree and certificate programs both “on-ground” at campuses in New Orleans and on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and online. This includes overseeing the admissions process and serving as the primary point of contact between prospective students and the school, as well as being able to develop and manage an effective, data-driven and technology-supported admissions and enrollment management process. The director also represents the school publicly, both with prospective students and with key constituents in the business, civic, and educational sectors.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of recruiting or marketing experience OR high school diploma/equivalent and eight years of recruiting or marketing experience Must have a valid and unrestricted (not including corrective lens needs) U.S. Driver’s license and must meet the Tulane University Motor Vehicle Policy criteria to become authorized as a driver.

- Demonstrated experience with and competency in using data and technology platforms to support operations and decision making. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication and public presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed. Ability to work independently. Experience with and ability to work effectively in a diverse environment with colleagues and constituents with a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives. Dependable transportation. Ability to travel extensively and consistently work an evening/weekend schedule. Experience with all applications of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Experience with higher education recruitment and admissions. Experience working in online education. Experience with customer relation management systems (CRMs) and/or higher education enrollment management systems (EMSs) such as Slate. Experience with using digital and other forms of marketing to support recruitment. Masters degree in higher education, marketing, or related field.
