Digital Media Producer | LX Analyst

The Media Producer | LX Analyst will be responsible for editing and compiling existing videos for use in educational projects. They will be responsible for capturing live event content and then producing videos for future viewing, and other video and multimedia projects as assigned. The Media Producer | LX Analyst will work with Faculty and Instructional Designers to create and develop creative digital solutions for online and technology-enhanced courses to accomplish learning objectives in classroom and online content, or as administered through the learning management system. This position will help establish the UCR digital learning presence throughout our curriculum, and explore innovative approaches to transform content delivery and partner with our faculty to evolve and enhance how we deliver digital content to improve learning. While managing the day-to-day activities and video production, this position will explore the impact of emerging technologies through video and multimedia solutions to continue to create an immersive, trans-media learning experience for our students. ***This is a full-time, two year career position, and offers a benefit package.***
Proficiency in planning, resourcing and monitoring effective design life cycles of training and other learning and performance solutions to support the organization.
Knowledge of intellectual property (IP) restrictions and skill to ensure that media meets IP requirements.
Proficiency in analytical, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, collaboration and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.
Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and train other staff on a variety of equipment, including but not limited to: video cameras, lighting equipment, audio recording equipment, and other necessary equipment for studio and location shoots.
Advanced proficiency with Adobe Created Suite and/or Final Cut Pro software including but not limited to FCPX and/or Adobe Premiere and After Effects as well as other digital media editing programs.
Working knowledge of functional area and understands how work within one course may impact work being done on other courses or in other areas.
Working knowledge of adult learning theories and education methodologies.
Working knowledge of e-learning strategies including but not limited to courses (e.g., processes and technologies, etc.).
Thorough understanding of post-production processes including internet-based media distribution solutions.
Working knowledge of the technical tools and platforms required to achieve the delivery of engaging and media-rich online learning content, and of trends in the use and effectiveness of educational technology and learning.
Working knowledge of instructional design principles and learning strategies, including needs analysis, backwards design, learning outcomes and assessment design, and instructional approaches including lecture, discussion, activities, projects, etc.
Working knowledge and skills with relevant business software systems.
Experience planning, coordinating, and executing archival digitization projects.
Working knowledge of organization policies and procedures, including policies that impact online course development.
Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
Support the research, acquisition, and application of emerging tools and techniques, such as those that pertain to VR, AR, 360o video content, and drone technology.
Experience as a liaison with vendors (develops strategies, workflows, and rates). Identify competitive pricing for products and services.
Knowledge of 2D and 3D compositing and visual effects with software such as After Effects, Maya, or Cinema 4D.
