Required Qualifications: As per Civil Service standards and specifications. Must be able to move heavy objects. Must have, keep and maintain the appropriate valid NYS Driver’s License; have a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations. Brief Description of Duties: The incumbent will sort, process and deliver mail throughout the University campus by operating a motor vehicle with safety and caution. Duties to include the following:

  • Sorts and delivers incoming mail and intra campus mail - operates a motor vehicle safely and cautiously.
  • Maintain routine maintenance of vehicles operated to ensure proper delivery of mail / packages.
  • Maintains record of incoming and outgoing accountable mail.
  • Assists faculty, staff and students with problems and questions in a customer service function.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.

Special Notes: This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Mandatory rehire roster candidates have preference.
