Minimum $36,775 ANNUAL (12 months)

Degree and Area of Specialization:

BS in biology, chemistry, cardiovascular physiology or related field required. MS preferred.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

3 years surgical and/or animal handling experience.
Prefer an established understanding of anatomy, physiology and, in particular, cardiovascular function with excellent large and small animal surgical skills.
Additional preferred experience with in vivo imaging systems, physiologic instrumentation and monitoring, anesthesia, research data management, preparation of data summaries for presentation to other researchers and submitting manuscripts for publication, and molecular and cellular biology techniques such as PCR, Western Blots, RNA and DNA isolation, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry; experience with ELISA is a plus.
Excellent communication skills are needed for interacting with a wide variety of collaborators and customers in a multi-disciplinary research environment.

Assist with large and small animal surgeries and procedures; general lab duties.
