The department of Pediatrics-Palliative Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider II (APP).

The APP will work both in the inpatient and ambulatory care setting in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team (Pediatric Advanced Care Team).

The APP is generally service or MD aligned and manages a distinct patient population in the outpatient setting. The APP who functions primarily in the clinic may perform some coordination of inpatient care and outpatient follow up after discharge.

The APP has a strong foundation in evidenced based practice and education and ensures safe quality care. Demonstrate an advanced level of medical knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, and timely and compliant documentation.

Required License/ Registration/Certification

For Nurse Practitioner applicants, active
Kentucky Advanced Practice Registered
Nurse (APRN) license.

For Nurse Practitioner applicants, Acute Care certification is preferred.

For Physician Assistant applicants,
current National Commission on
Certification of Physician Assistants
(NCCPA) certification and active
Kentucky Physician Assistant (PA)
license.

Employment is contingent upon the

as required by state law and University
policies.

Requires lifting, pushing or pulling objects (children) up to 50 lbs, sitting and standing for long periods of time



Shift

Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Potential for extended evening hours based upon demand and volume.
