Develop, implement, and manage programs, services, and infrastructure for Residential Life and Housing, including activities with other university departments, contractors, and food services. Monitor service quality, satisfaction, safety, and compliance, and recommends improvements. Prepare and implement departmental and program or project budgets; participates in the planning process and policy development. Develop specifications for various services, repairs or renovations. Administer contracts and ensure compliance by all vendors. Provide assistance with the resolution of student and/or parent housing and residence life issues.
Department Specific Essential Job Functions
Maintain discipline and balance relations in a residential setting. Supervise evening activities and filed trips. Participate in in-service training sessions. Supervise participants to ensure their safety and well-being. Serve as positive role model for participants. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requires a work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Requires the application of expertise in a chosen field to achieve results. 5+ years of experience. Appropriate profession accomplishments and credentials.
Ability to supervise others. Ability to effectively work with a team. Demonstrate effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to take initiative. Express a nurturing personality and be a sensitive listener. Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
Repetitive movement of hands and fingers ' typing and/or writing. Frequent standing, and/or sitting. Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling or crouching. Reach with hands and arms. Visually identify, observe and assess. Ability to communicate with supervisor/students/colleagues. Regular physical attendance required.
