Posting Information: 1-Year, 9 mo Fixed-Term ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: Vacancy in Western Carolina University's (WCU) CAA accredited CSD program. Start date - August 1, 2018. Responsibilities include teaching, conducting research, and supervising/advising students in undergraduate/master's degree programs. Teaching opportunities tied to program need/candidate expertise - ability to teach fluency content preferred. Interprofessional opportunities within regional allied health and education agencies. WCU is one of 17 institutions within the University of North Carolina system and located in Cullowhee, NC between the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains, about 50 miles SW of Asheville, NC.
Minimum Training & Experience Requirements: Earned Ph.D. or ABD status in S-L Pathology; evidence of/potential for expertise in teaching/research/service; eligibility for CCC-SLP and NC license.
Preferred Qualifications: University teaching/clinical supervision experience, strong team skills. Ability to teach fluency content.
