The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Research Support Specialist. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include: Establishes patient/participant screening procedures with Principal Investigator and collects data from patient charts, medical records, interviews, questionnaires, diagnostic tests and other sources. Assists in any administrative related activities including time accounting, billing and ensures they are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Assists with project proposal document preparation including quotes and invoices. Assists in the organization and coordination of community working group meetings for protocol activities including the development of meeting agendas, resource materials, and oral presentations for study-related work; serves as primary point of contact for community partners; supervises and oversees research data collection at protocol venues in the community. Maintains logs/progress reports to track both currently enrolled as well as follow-up patients/participants. Organizes and handles the flow of information to and from study participants, including study participant contact information. Develops efficient strategies for following up with study participants on a regular basis. Establishes/maintains contact with patient/participants, health care providers, community agencies and study sponsors. Maintains database and enters data appropriately. Ensures data integrity and consistency in computer database and written records. Maintains consent forms, all other documentations and sponsor correspondences. Attend meetings with research team members as needed. Prepares monthly enrollment reports. Responsible for ordering and maintaining stock of necessary supplies for the project. Performs other duties as assigned.
The minimum requirements are: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two years of relevant work experience with a clinical/community research background. Organizational skills and detail-oriented. Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual Creole or/and Spanish is a plus. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority.
