Position Summary:

The Center for Perioperative Care, CPC Nurse, will review all patient questionaires, interfacing with the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Care to determine appropriate testing prior to surgery. The Nurse will utilize knowledge of patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Acts as a liason and knowledgeable coordinator to staff in Perioperative Services as well as in ambulatory care clinics and associated departments. Assists with special projects and Quality Improvement initiatives as assigned. Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $43.46 Midpoint $51.56 Maximum $59.66

Required Qualifications:

Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Basic Life Support

Minimum of six months demonstrated nursing experience in the Perioperative Setting

Registered Nurse

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families

Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
