The Head Women's Lacrosse Coach reports to the Director of Athletics. The primary tasks are to organize, recruit and develop a successful Lacrosse program in concert with the academic mission of the University. This position will also be responsible to fulfill a secondary administrative duty.
• Identify and recruit quality student-athletes for the lacrosse program
• Develop and implement organized practices and game strategies
• Coordinate fundraising opportunities as appropriate
• Monitor and track academic progress of student-athletes
• Adhere to all NCAA and conference rules and bylaws
• Fulfill a secondary administrative duty as assigned
• Develop positive rapport with athletics staff, as well as SU community
• Represent the university to various constituents in a professional manner
• Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of Equipment specific to the sport, skilled in use of PC, Windows Platform, Front Rush and Krossover, must have a demonstrated commitment to the student-athlete experience, evidence of positive attitude and the ability to get along well with others required, excellent speaking and writing skills necessary, as well as the ability to be a well­ organized self-starter.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of women's lacrosse coaching and recruiting experience required, preferably at the college level.
Must have the energy and enthusiasm and mobility to actively coach field sports.
Master's Degree preferred.
