Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Admissions
New York University (NYU), a leader in creating a bold new approach to higher education in the 21st Century, seeks an assistant vice president for undergraduate admissions. As a Global Network University, NYU programs are now on six continents and the university is in and of the great cities of the world. With fully-accredited four-year campuses in New York, Abu Dhabi and Shanghai, and eleven study away sites, NYU is attracting extraordinary students, faculty and staff.
Responsible for undergraduate admissions and access programs, the assistant vice president will continue the university’s trajectory of excellence and creativity in reach and scope. This is an admissions leadership position with significant opportunity to impact the continued enrollment trajectory of a world-class university and the students it serves. Working closely with and reporting to the senior vice president for enrollment management, the assistant vice president for undergraduate admissions (AVP) will lead a staff of over 100 (including students and part time readers) and supervise four direct reports. The university seeks a forward-thinking leader with the skill to develop enrollment plans and policies that are inventive, analytically rigorous and technically sophisticated, and continuously assessed and refined. The AVP will be smart and strategic with exceptional analytic, interpersonal and communication skills. She or he will possess sensitivity and commitment to issues of diversity, a desire to continuously grow and improve upon every metric in the enrollment spectrum and the intercultural fluency to engage diverse audiences from around the globe. A master’s degree is required.
