Albion College invites applications for the Engagement Officer position with Institutional Advancement. The Engagement Officer is responsible for alumni engagement, philanthropic outreach, internship, and student service-learning opportunities. This position is responsible for engagement experiences varying in size from small group dinners to large networking events with strategic volunteer management in an assigned region. This position reports to the Vice President for Alumni Relations and Development, with daily management by a Regional Team leader. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with sensitivity and confidentiality. Must exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse environment, inclusive of students, faculty and staff of many social, economic, cultural, ideological, racial and ethnic backgrounds.
FLSA Classification: Salaried / Exempt / Administrative
Duration: 12 months per year

- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 3 or more years related experience in sales, philanthropy, marketing/communication, community service or related fields preferred
- Comfort and experience with “first contact and cold call” communication required
- Must have a valid, or be eligible to obtain, a Michigan driver’s license and clearing initial and periodic driving record checks
