Position Details

Advertising/Posting Title Assistant to the Dean Diversity Statement The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the institution. Applicants are required to include in their cover letter information about how they will further this goal. Posting Summary
Provide high-level executive administrative support to the Dean and Associate Deans. Serve as liaison for Dean within and outside the College. Oversee and coordinate planning and implementation of multiple tasks, projects, and initiatives for the Dean, executive team, and College. Strategize and oversee planning of the Dean's activities and schedule and special events for the College.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associates degree in related field and five years related experience, working knowledge of software applications, used to support area operations, and familiarity with Internet resources required. Proficiency in general computer applications and writing/editing. Supervisory skills required.
Desirable Qualifications
Proficient with Word, Excel, Sharepoint and Outlook. Effective communications, interpersonal, writing and editing skills. Event planning and coordination experience desirable. Experience and success in working with organizational cohorts such as senior leadership, faculty and staff desirable. Demonstrated ability to multi task with competing deadlines, projects and programmatic demands while maintaining strong attention to detail.
