Position Summary

The primary purpose of the AP Technician is to audit travel disbursements and purchase order payments for the University. The position also assists other AP auditors with auditing of non-employee, employee, contracted services, and interdepartmental payments and matching invoices to checks. Test Banner Upgrades, Chrome River and AP Director systems. Train campus personnel on these systems and accounts payable policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience. This is a generalized representation of positions in this class and is not intended to identify essential functions per ADA. examples of work are primarily essential functions of the majority of positions in this class, but may not be applicable to all positions.

Preferred Qualifications

Three to five years Accounts Payable experience
Strong attention to detail
Banner Finance experience

Alternate Option
