Minimum Education/Experience: 1. A master's degree or higher in any of the following disciplines: Linguistics, TESOL, Modern Languages, or English. 2. At least two year's teaching in ESL at university level. 3. At least one year's ESL teaching experience overseas to local students. Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Job Duties: This is a temporary position for the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 term. The ECULA full-time instructor is responsible for all aspects of assigned classes. These primarily include: -Preparing lessons -Teaching four classes totaling 20 hours per week in the classroom -Assigning homework, grading it and returning it to the student the following day -Advising students in matters pertaining to their successful adaptation to the United States and the university environment Additional required duties: -Creating, administering and grading final examinations in all courses taught -Coordinating with the director and other instructors to craft school curriculum and course content -Crafting and revising syllabi and distributing them to the students on the first day of class -Preparing and administering monthly tests and weekly quizzes and evaluating student progress; reporting on progress to the director -Returning graded tests to the student (except the final examination) the following day and reviewing the test with the student when requested to do so -Holding regular office hours -Meeting with and advising underperforming students to implement changes and habits in their approach to the coursework -Distributing student evaluations -Attending all faculty meetings -Reviewing potential course materials -Assisting with the coordination of outside personnel as needed for scheduling of student visits -Assisting the director with coordination of cultural and social activities for students -Coordinating with the director as needed to conduct program reviews relating to accreditation, curriculum, and policies and procedures
