The Department of Mathematics at Robert Morris University invites applications for an anticipated tenure track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor of Mathematics beginning August, 2018.
The Mathematics Department offers degrees in actuarial science, applied mathematics and mathematics education with the actuarial science program designated by the Society of Actuaries as a Center of Actuarial Excellence. The successful applicant will be able to teach a variety of courses in undergraduate mathematics and/or statistics, both for mathematics majors and non-majors. The teaching load for this position is 12 credit hours per semester, although faculty actively engaged in research are eligible for a reduced teaching load of 9 credit hours per semester. Scholarship is required for promotion.
