Job description

Duties: In a laboratory focused primarily on understanding the neural bases of female choice using the female songbird as a model system perform experiments and manage aspects of the lab. This position will assist in experimental design, perform experiments including histology, gather and analyze data including song analysis and present data a laboratory meetings. Manage lab care, oversee colony care, manage finances and manage supply orders. Oversee undergraduates.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Neuroscience or related field and 0 to 1 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 2 to 3 years of experience are strongly preferred. Experience with avian research, histology preferred. Strong quantitative, programming and organizational skills preferred. Experience managing people and ability to work independently preferred.
