Position Summary: Position is responsible for providing leadership needed to establish and accomplish the goals, objectives and policies of the Department. Position holder is the principal faculty liaison with the administrations of the College and University and with external constituencies to assist in obtaining resources needed to accomplish the goals and objectives of the department. Incumbent will have a commitment to high quality teaching, scholarship and service.

Minimum Preferred Qualifications: The Culverhouse College of Commerce is seeking applicants for the position of Department Head for the Department of Management. The Department head is responsible for providing leadership needed to establish and accomplish the goals, objectives and policies of the Department. Position holder is the principal faculty liaison with the administrations of the College and University and with external constituencies to assist in obtaining resources needed to accomplish the goals and objectives of the department. Incumbent will have a commitment to high quality teaching, scholarship and service. The Department Head reports to the Senior Associate Dean of the College. Successful candidates must be a faculty member who has a research and teaching record consistent with a tenured, associate or full professor in Management at a major flagship university and who has a broad understanding of marketing at the undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. levels. Candidates with previous administrative experience are particularly encouraged to apply. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
