Job Summary: The Global Health Institute (GHI) seeks highly qualified candidates for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor (non-tenure track 12 months) to begin August 1st, 2018. GHI offers university-wide Certificates of Global Health at the Graduate and Undergraduate levels and an Undergraduate Minor. For more information, please visit Responsibilities will include all of the following: * Teach eight undergraduate and/or graduate level courses per year (3 Fall; 3 Spring; 2 Summer). Courses will include, but are not limited to, introduction to Global Health, Mother Child Health, Global Health Policy, Global Health Ethics and Global Burden Disease. Courses will be a combination of online and on-campus format. * Act as the Undergraduate Coordinator for Global Health. * Participate in on-going curriculum and program development in the GHI and within the College of Public Health. This will include long-term curriculum planning, coordination with other departments and programs, as well as planning and developing an online Global Health program. * Mentor and supervise undergraduate students participating in the Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities (CURO) program. * Coordinate all aspects of the undergraduate Certificate of Global Health and the undergraduate minor in Global Health. This may include, but is not limited to, administration for admissions processes, creation and maintenance of academic schedules across programs, academic advising, coordination of graduate assistantships, supervision of internships and capstone projects and coordination of assessment activities and reports. * Administer and coordinate experiential learning for both undergraduate and graduate certification. This will include administration of international internship programs. * Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment and retention plans for both the Undergraduate Certificate and the minor degree programs in Global Health. * International travel to collaborative educational sites may be necessary. * Maintain an active research program. The successful candidate will have a strong history of scholarly publications in Global Health and a history of participating in grant applications. Research interest in Global Health is required. * Assist with the Graduate Certificate program in Global Health. * The successful candidate is expected to be part of a vibrant collaborative network of scientists within the College of Public Health and across campus to foster effective research/teaching/service relationships amongst members of the four departments, the Institute of Gerontology and the Institute for Disaster Management. Additionally, the successful candidate will engage in departmental, college, university and professional service. Minimum Qualifications: Required Qualifications including all of the following: * An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a public health field or a closely related field * 10 years or more of teaching and research experience in Global Health and Public Health

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications include the following: * A record of successful online and on-campus development and teaching of Global Health courses at undergraduate levels. * A record of collaborative, professional interactions or service supporting students, GHI and/or the discipline. * A record of scholarly publications and/or grantsmanship * Evidence of international teaching and research experience * Evidence of administrating an undergraduate certificate, minor or degree program.
