Project Coordinator

Administratively reports to and works directly with the Research Manager for all matters related to clinical research and Education Manager for all matters related to medical education. Performs coordination of clinical research studies from inception to completion and assists in identifying potential study candidates, enrollment, data collection and data management. Performs and maintains research records and all related clerical materials. Partners with Education Coordinators to organize the UCI Department of Surgery Skills Curriculum for students, general surgery residents, and surgical fellows. Assists in the design and execution of surgery and education research projects and coordinate animal and cadaver lab training sessions for educational programs focusing on robotic training, certification, laparoscopic and open surgical techniques, and endoscopic approaches for the treatment of surgical disease. Facilitates laparoscopic practice and skills development and is responsible for proctoring Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Skills exam for test center. Responsible for oversight of the Surgery Resident's use of the UCI Surgical Education Center (SEC) in Orange and UCI Medical Education Simulation Center (MedEd) in Irvine, coordinates all administrative activities necessary to create above educational programs.

Salary: Hourly $22.46 - $27.92
Total Hours: Part Time 60%
Career Position.
Services to be provided at multiple clinical sites, including UCIMC, CDDC Newport/Tustin, Gottschalk Plaza and UC Irvine Main Campus.
