Associate Director, Venture Ecosystem Development

The responsibilities in this position will include the development and management of particular entrepreneurial ecosystem partner relationships in effort to materially accelerate the successful maturation of start-up companies. These partner relationships will be focused on funding sources such as venture capital firms and angel groups and individuals, and including incubators and accelerators, regional ecosystem support organizations, corporate partners and campus resources. The acceleration activities referenced above will include but not be limited to, connecting entrepreneurs with appropriate accelerators and incubators in the local regional and extended ecosystem, connecting investors with ventures in line with their portfolio interests, and help ensure entrepreneurs are pitch and portfolio ready before meeting with potential investors. Key to this position will also be the infusion of portfolio management and interest information garnered from the various partner relationships into the Applied Innovation strategic and operational plans as well as the cultivation of domain experts that can be deployed in various programs supporting the campus innovation effort.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
