VISITING COLLEGE LECTURER OF ACCOUNTING

Position:

Visiting College Lecturer of Accounting: Full-time, non-tenure track position for one academic year.

Start Date:

August 20, 2018

Duties:

Must teach 4 classes per semester, primarily Introductory Financial and Managerial Accounting and lead the coordination of the Introductory Accounting classes. Other responsibilities include advising students and providing service to the department, college and university. Must be available to teach on-campus, On-Line, day/evening, weekend and/or off-campus classes.

Qualifications:

Minimum: Either Masters in Accounting or MBA from an AACSB accredited college or university with CPA and experience teaching Financial and Managerial Accounting; proven ability to coordinate Introductory Accounting courses, bring together fellow faculty members on common matters related to these courses; and extensive experience with online course management software programs such as Blackboard, and McGraw Hill-Connect or Wiley+.

Preferred: Terminal degree or ABD from an AACSB accredited college or university; ability to make intellectual contributions; effective communication skills; service to community and/or business profession, and ability to contribute through teaching and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community.
