The Division of Student Services at the University of Nevada, Reno is seeking for an Assistant Dean, Student Conduct.

The Assistant Dean, Student Conduct is responsible for handling conduct complaints brought against students by faculty, staff, or other students. The Assistant Dean investigates cases, gathers evidence, and makes a determination on whether charges will be brought against the student.  The Assistant Dean, in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct makes findings and determinations on sanctions for student found in violation of the Student Code of Conduct.  The Assistant Dean will consider applicable policies of the Nevada System of Higher Education and the University of Nevada, Reno in review of student behaviors. The Assistant Dean serves as the leader in working with University, local, and state agencies on devising joint programs and services to enhance the University’s Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Intervention, Education and Treatment Services for students, including preparing grant proposals for these programs and services. The incumbent supervises all grant-funded and state funded staff for the AOD programs and the student conduct function.  The Assistant Dean is a member of the Student Intervention Team led by the Dean of Students.  The Assistant Dean also serves as a member of other campus-wide committees, including the Title IX Coalition, the Academic Standards Committee, and The Drug, Education, Intervention, Testing and Treatment Program for athletics, as well as any other applicable committees.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and five years of related professional experience, OR Master’s Degree from an accredited institution and three years of related professional experience.

Relevant Experience:

Student advisement and conduct, Title IX compliance.
