Department Overview
The College of Science at the University of North Texas consists of the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics and the interdisciplinary programs Teach North Texas, BioDiscovery Institute, and Advanced Environmental Research Institute. The college offers Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees in science and mathematics, currently serving more than 3,800 majors. Our faculty are world-class researchers in science and mathematics, and the college faculty and staff work together to provide excellent support to our students in their academic education and professional development.

Job Description
The College of Sciences Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Budget Officer to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Managing the budget of selected departments in the college.
* Provide the Department Heads frequent updates on their budgets.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement.
* Special Projects.
* Providing guidance on policies and procedures to faculty, staff and
* Assist with billings for service contracts.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree with coursework in accounting, finance, business or related field and four years of progressively responsible financial administration or budget management experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
