Job Description
The Admissions Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Senior Admissions Processor to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Develops work plans and strategies for accomplishing goals; organizing tasks in a logical sequence and identifying resources required.
* Identifies problems and analyzes causes; takes or recommends actions after evaluating alternative solution; follows up to ensure problems are corrected.
* Writes e-mails, form letters, forms, etc. using appropriate style, format, spelling and grammar, writes in a clear, concise manner.
* Run query every morning to gauge incoming priority of incoming complete applications. Verify accurate evaluation of residency, school accreditation and overall data entry. Contact student when items are still missing.
* Compute grade point average, evaluate work past degree, prepare application for transmission to the department and Initiate correspondence related to the applicant for all completed applicants.
* Data entry for the GPA and referral reason is done with accuracy and evaluation form created; no more than three errors per semester.
* Prepare daily, recoded fee payments for all Graduate School applicants and research unmatched payments, writes receipts for cash.
* Answer questions accurately; Maintain good communication with the departments and colleagues; take messages for absence staff.
* Verify update eligibility, change semester and/or major, update residency, reissue admission letters, make notes in ImageNow and send copies to academic departments if necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess Graduation from High School or GED equivalent and three years of general office or clerical experience. Substitution of education for experience allowed. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:
* Skill in telephone etiquette and courteous communication with public, verbally and in writing.
* Skill in evaluating facts or situation to route calls/customers appropriately.
* Basic MS Office skills
* Skill in the operation of a variety of office machines including, personal computers, telephones and copiers.
* Skill in filing and recordkeeping.
* Skill in English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
* Skill in basic math.
* Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.
