RESEARCH TECHNICIAN II

Your major responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Maintaining and passaging murine tumor cell lines for subcutaneous implantation in syngeneic mice.
• Monitoring in vivo tumor growth by caliper measurements as well as by in vivo immunofluorescence imaging.
• Treatment of tumor-bearing mice with various therapeutic agents involving both intraperitoneal and oral gavage delivery.
• Collection of human melanoma specimens and downstream RNA isolation;organization of human-derived specimens in a tissue data bank.
• Performing immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence studies on both human and murine tumor tissues.
• Cell harvesting and purification from murine tumor tissues for immunologic studies including multi-parameter flow cytometry.
• Documents protocol information and generated data in laboratory notebook.
• Assists with general laboratory maintenance duties including assisting with laboratory inventory, placing orders, and verifying their receipt; including preparation of lab solutions.
• Participates in lab meeting discussions.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
